Pitti’s just around the corner and I’m now preparing everything for yet another outstanding week. Although it will be my 4th visit to the fair, I’m feeling as excited as the first time: the unique universe that surrounds Pitti makes it enticing every single time. Meeting favourite designers and previewing upcoming collections, discovering new brands and inspirations, exchanging ideas and rendezvous with old and new friends, all make it a one-of-a-kind experience.
As usual I’ll be covering the whole event, so stay tuned for an extensive feed of street style pics and collection previews. By the way, it’s always nice to remember that there’s more than just sharply dressed men at the Fortezza…

Beyond Fabric x Tommy Hilfiger #2
A couple of weeks back I collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger in promoting the opening of its new store in Porto, through an action focused on capturing the city life on camera using street style photography. I hit the streets and several pics later, the printed shots were delivered to those who attended the inauguration cocktail party.
Here’s a small sample of the outcome!
PS: for all those unable to attend the cocktail, your picture is still waiting to be picked up at Tommy Hilfiger’s store at NorteShopping. For any further information contact me at email@example.com.
Beyond Fabric x Tommy Hilfiger
During the past month, american lifestyle and clothing giant Tommy Hilfiger opened its latest store right here in Porto. Located in NorteShopping one of the city’s most iconic shopping malls, the 162 m2 space features an eclectic environment brought to life by a unique mix of vintage and contemporary elements, setting the background for Tommy’s latest Sportswear collections. To commemorate the official opening, Tommy Hilfiger will be hosting a cocktail party next Thursday (26/09) from 17h00 to 20h00 to welcome everyone to its newest venue.
Furthermore, they asked me to collaborate with them on an exclusive street style promotional action: during this week I’ll be cruising the streets of Porto looking for people who embody the brand’s universe and aesthetic. During the event, guests will be able to pick up their printed pictures as well as enjoy an exclusive 20% off on selected items, so if you happen to be in town be sure not to miss it and keep an eye out for me when walking down the street =).

We have it so much better
When it comes to fashion, men have it easier than women in a variety of ways. Although trends and collections are a reflection of the surrounding environment, usually influenced by prominent stylish personalities, when it comes to menswear the cyclic changes are much more subtle than those of our female counterparts…While there are also seasonal trends such as particular prints, garments or even wearabilities, the pages in which menswear is written have a century-old patina cemented over years of gentlemanly tradition.
In a way, this allows us to seamlessly update timeless attires by mixing trendy, up to date details instead of purchasing a whole new wardrobe…Ok, maybe not an entirely new wardrobe, but it’s a fact that women tend to buy more at cheaper prices, and (most) womenswear strongly sails with this flow. For men, you just know that some garments will always be classics and survive the test of time and passing tendencies: say a 2 button navy blazer or a perfect fitting suit - buttons, lapels and cut may vary or reminisce but if you stay within a certain spectrum, chances are they’ll stay with you for a long time.
So for us gentlemen, it all comes down to the old mantra of buying less but better: invest in quality pieces, splurge on essentials and save on ethereal garments. Not only will you feel more confident and look flawless, but at the end of the day you’ll end up with pieces you love, ultimately saving money and making your life much easier when it comes to getting dressed in the morning…
