Feelflows Surfboards x Lightning Bolt Editorial
I’ve mentioned my brother’s project as a shaper quite a few times before…Similarly to myself, he too changed his life course to pursue his passions and hence Feelflows was born.
His unique creative mindset and refined aesthetic have led to exclusive surfboard designs. This one is a personal favourite and a perfect example of how fabrics can transcend the fashion realm into different areas: in a collaboration with Lightning Bolt, he incorporated a fabric inlay from their SS14 collection onto this 6’0”Hullico. The result is nothing short of outstanding…

Feelflows Surfboards is my brother’s latest project, focused on a surfing and skating universe reminiscent of old-school California. This fish model is one of my personal favourites as fabric finds its way into unexpected uses: the floral print on the board is actually from Lightning Bolt’s collection and simply elevates the board to a whole new level.
Here’s something my brother and friends over at Driftwood Collective have been working on for a while. In their words:
… this is a first attempt at an animation by the driftwood collective. No video footage was used in the production of the illustrations… oddly enough, being a regular myself, i imagined the whole sequence for a goofy surfing backside and only noticed it half way through…
My friends (and brother) over at Driftwood Collective are a creative bunch brought together by their mutual love for surf and all things related. In their own words: “a group of friends, craftsmen and artists that don’t take themselves too seriously and who, however lost in life they may be, are always easily found floating ashore. Surfers of dubious skill, who have decided to make something out of the idle hours languishing in between swells”. When not out at sea, they can be found skating and kissing the floor in the most unlikely places, embarking on several projects and, if time allows it… working =)
