Beyond Fabric x Purificacion Garcia #1
Following my previous introduction to its SS13 collection, I got a chance to style some looks for Purificacion Garcia using my favourite pieces for the season.
Starting with what might just be my first choice among all the garments in the collection, and one of the season’s essentials, this suede bomber jacket instantly earned its way to the top spots of my wishlist. The beautiful taupe shade with chambray lining and orange/burgundy highlights on the pockets and zippers, set the mood for the whole look. A contrasting pale blue crewneck sweater underneath, dark denim with contrast orange stitching and supple suede boots pick up the chromatic and texture themes. The stripped knit tie adds a dash of color and pattern to the mix..

I’m celebrating my 28th birthday today and although I didn’t take the day off, I’ll be styling the latest drops from Adam Kimmel SS12 so it’s a gift in its own way…even more so since some of those outstanding pieces are likely to become future purchases: Hawaiian Camo Pants anyone?
Here’s a glimpse of what I’m talking about…
Early morning styling and photoshoot for Band of Outsiders and Our Legacy’s latest drops =)
Styling the latest arrivals from Adam Kimmel x Carhartt, Levi’s Made & Crafted and Acne for today’s photoshoot at the shop
Busy styling the first drops from Our Legacy for today’s photo shoot at the shop!
Beyond Fabric for Wrong Weather
In a recent project, Wrong Weather asked three people with distinct and individual takes on fashion, to put together 3 looks using their in-store pieces for a photo shoot. Me, along with stylists Fernando Bastos Pereira and Nelson Vieira were the selected trio.
The idea behind the concept was showing how versatile their garments can be when mixed and matched in different ways. My vision was to provide three classic yet updated looks, by adding interesting twists to the mix. Without wanting to label them, the first look is a well balanced option for everyday use - the more formal pieces such as the trench, cardigan and oxfords work well with the relaxed feel of the naval motif long sleeve. The second look is something you could wear on weekends or on your free time just to hang around town - again the contrast of classic with relaxed is portrayed by the combination of suit pants with smart sneakers and a chunky knit. Finally, the third look is more put together and is a great example of how a monochromatic attire (blue) can be pulled off.
I’m really excited with the final results and how the pics came up!
