With my brother moving in and the need to establish a in-house workshop for his project, the time came to get hands-down to business. In a different approach to my usual style posts, here’s a refreshing interpretation of traditional workwear. As a trademark work oriented garment, overalls rarely see the light of day when it comes to everyday wear.
However, recent revamped designs have been steadily making appearances on everything from lookbooks to runway shows. Although it’s definitely a very particular garment that won’t find widespread love within the menswear community, I always keep an open mind regarding the potencial of such pieces. This version by CAMO, in lightweight chambray and featuring an array of small details, provided the perfect canvas to play around with more polished elements. A traditional white oxford button down, linen paisley tie and tasseled loafers did the trick.
