A Tribute to CAMO
It’s been 3 years since I first came across Stefano Ughetti’s label, during my first visit to Pitti Uomo. CAMO is just one of those brands you can’t ignore: like it or not, the truth remains its unique approach to menswear has been slowly redefining the concept of casual suiting and set in stone essentials.
As a fan and supporter of Stefano’s creations, I’m happy to have been witnessing its growing recognition and evolution throughout the years, while adding some personal favourites to my wardrobe. To celebrate the current season, I took some statement pieces from its SS14 collection to portray a polished yet casual ensemble, perfect for the upcoming months.
Besides the trademark CAMO trousers, seen here in soft 11oz denim and featuring button flap pockets, drop crotch and inner buttons for braces, the collection is heavily marked by washed and garment dyed pieces. Not only does it allow for a unique colour palette and aesthetic, it also adds a super soft and comfortable feel to a variety of garments such as this club collar shirt. An ultimate Summer staple, this vibrant pink pairs beautifully with denim or chinos, while allowing for a playful take on accessories such as the two-toned silk knit tie. Leather boat shoes and a pair of vintage shades add the final touch to the relaxed look.
