Bedwin AW13 “Now’s The Time” Lookbook
Breaking the habit #2
Following the first entry on the series, where I focused the more traditional full suit look, it’s time to get down to business with the so called breakdown. As I addressed before, breaking down a suit consists simply of understanding its full potential and changing your perspective: instead of perceiving it as a whole, look at each piece individually, be it a two or three-piece suit. By doing so, not only are you able to expand your wardrobe alternatives, but also get the most value for money from your investment which, depending on the suit, might be considerable.
This time around, the look revolved around the pants from the windowpane wool suit: this is actually one of my favourite ways to reach a well balanced attire, combining elements from both polished and casual aesthetic. The undeniable elegance of cuffed slacks sets the perfect canvas for more relaxed combinations, such as the crewneck tee and bold orange v-neck sweater, which layer beautifully under this unique vest-interpretation of the peacoat. Off-white leather sneakers and a lightweight cotton cap add the final details to the look.
Details: peavest by Tonello, v-neck sweater, ribbon belt and windowpane slacks (part of a suit) by Purificacion Garcia, crewneck tee by Levi’s, leather sneakers by Paul Smith, cap by H&M.
